Dear Folks,
We need you. We need people who can come every day or commit to one day a week to join us at the General Assembly. We need warm bodies to show support for legislation. Go to vamfa.org/volunteer to register to assist us.
Some bills scheduled for this week, have been bumped to next week but here is the scoop for tomorrow.
In the HOUSE OF DELEGATES. LOCATION: enter Pocahontas Building, sharp left after you go through security. Up the stairs and through double doors. First room on the right.
Wednesday, January 25, 2023 8 a.m.
HB 1889 Higher Education Institutions, public. Immunization for Covid-19. Covid-19 vaccination will not be necessary as condition of employment or being a student.
A person has a right to bodily autonomy. The government does not have the right to force you to take a medication, injection or procedure against your will. Additionally, this injection remains under emergency use authorization. The Covid-19 jab is not a traditional vaccine. It neither prevents you from getting Covid-19 or spreading Covid-19. Most of the population has had Covid-19 and thus we have reach herd immunity. There is no longer a pandemic or epidemic. Natural infection offers greater protection than the experimental injection.
Bottom Line: No one should be forced to take a shot for a condition of employment or education.
If you can’t be there in person, sign-up to speak. The link states you must register prior to midnight. If you apply anytime prior to the start of the meeting, it may work.

Immediately following the full committee, the sub-committee will convene in the same room.
HB 1397 Delegate March. This bill has an amendment. We support the amended bill.
This bill allows for the expansion of medical and religious exemptions to now include philosophical exemptions to vaccine and other medications and procedure.
Further, these exemptions do not end in a state of emergency.
HB 1736 Ultrasound of unborn baby in uterus to be viewed as part of sex education curriculum. We support this bill.
SB 930 Medical Assistance in Dying is not off the table. It may come up Thursday in Senate for final vote with an amendment. We oppose this bill.
Please call and ask that the Delegates to support our bills.

I support you and your position re vaccine mandates, and commend you for all your work. I'll take as many of your actions as possible. The majority of people oppose these mandates, even if many of them take the vaccines themselves.
